For some reason I don't find it necessarily depressing that they can't fly together anymore, there are so many solutions; I mean, the Pokemon world has a ton of technology, I'm sure there's something that could make Gwlad lighter... and flying machines, and things like that. But probably my favorite solution (maybe in addition to Gwlad still ~sort of~ being able to fly) is acceptance of grounded-ness, because... flying is exhilarating and obviously free and beautiful, but there's a quiet beauty in staying on the ground and moving a little bit slower. There are nice, little things you might miss, being high above and moving quickly.

So I've been hoping that when Gwlad evolved, maybe what initially seemed like a limitation would actually end up showing Anya a different kind of freedom and beauty. In the same way Anya showed Gwlad what it was like to fly, Gwlad could end up showing Anya that the ordinary world on the ground is beautiful, too. :3

...but maybe that's just me! Maybe I've put too much thought into this. d:
